ONSITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Certified water and wastewater technicians provide technical assistance with issues such as leak detection, line location, onsite filter assistance, system performance evaluations, emergency response planning, pre-sanitary surveys, rate studies and long range planning, capacity development, vulnerability assessments, GIS/GPS services, monitoring plans and funding resource referrals and more!
Training Units are provided to workshop participants, enabling operators to meet continuing education requirements for operator certification renewal.
OPERATOR TRAINING:Water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, plant safety, disinfection, cross-connection, and current regulations.
OPERATOR CERTIFICATION WORKSHOPS:Prepares operators for the certification exam that immediately follows the workshops. Attendance at these workshops has historically resulted in a high passing rate.
MANAGEMENT & STAFF TRAINING: Regulatory compliance concerns, water rights, long-range planning, rate analysis, Water University, and training for boards/councils.
COMPLIANCE CALENDARING:Assists systems with developing a calendar to keep track of State sampling requirements.

MOBILE TRAINING UNIT
Our equipped classroom on wheels is designed for onsite, hands-on training. The MTU provides intervention and disaster assistance when needed throughout the State.
Each year, CRWA sponsors one conference with concurrent sessions which include training for water & wastewater, distribution & collection, management, and source water protection planning. The 140+ exhibitors provide the latest technology in the water and wastewater industry. These events provide networking opportunities for our rural systems.
SOURCE WATER PROTECITON PLANNING
CRWA provides source water protection planning and grant assistance to all eligible water systems in Colorado. Efforts are coordinated to form partnerships between water providers, government agencies, private individuals and other stakeholders.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
CRWA can assist in reviewing operational costs and efficiencies with water providers and their staff, offering recommendations on energy savings.
CRWA is part of a statewide emergency network which assists communities with water and wastewater emergencies through Colorado Water Agency Response Network (CoWARN). CoWARN is a partnership between utilities, the state primacy agency, and utility professional organizations.
A complete sanitary survey/review can be done for systems in preparation for a visit by regulatory authorities.
LEGAL AND LOBBYING SERVICES
The CRWA Team works hard to influence legal and legislative matters that have an impace on water systems in Colorado. The Executive Director and Board Members visit representatives in Colorado and Washington DC to promote favorable legislation at the state and federal level.
